Yeah this could definitely be realistic maybe they add another person in the bottom 6 but otherwise this is good

Man, Husso had a solid season, but doing this is like doubling down on the "Small sample size of decent-ness" that Dubas did with Mrazek. 27 year old with a 40 game sample size of solid goaltending.

Not that there isn't a long history of NHL gms gambling on goaltending performances, and it may not happen in this case, but I get major Carter Hutton-type vibes from Husso.

Oh I agree, I just don't see many good options in net. Who else can we even get? Gibson has been subpar for 3 years and would cost a decent pile of assets to obtain since the ducks don't need to move him. Campbell was straight up an 890 goalie for 3 monthes in his first year as a kind-of starter. Who else can they target, Wedgewood? Comrie? Fleury? Not a ton of proven options imo

I would honestly rather bet on Mrazek to start the season and have a bounce back season. That way we aren't getting rid of assets on something that isn't proven.

Hard to say what Campbell will ultimately get, but I'd go up to $4.75 x 3-4 with him as option 1. If you're going to pay that much for Husso, just bump it a bit and keep Campbell.

I mean, "Bounce-back" would imply that there's something to bounce back to...below league average in 4 of the past 6 seasons (With the two above average years accounting for about 50 games total...) doesn't exactly scream "This is the guy who gets us deep into the playoffs!".

I honestly don't know what the answer is...it's not like Vasi is available tears of joy Asset-wise? I would absolutely not be scared to move some if the right option was available, but I don't think it is anyway.

Edit: Not to say that keeping Mrazek is the worst option.
