It's of course a hypothetical trade -- these are fan-made teams -- but if Crosby says he wants to be traded somewhere, management would grant his wishes and get the best value they could. This isn't a "Crosby is open to being traded anywhere open the bidding" scenario where Pittsburgh would get a massive return.

To your second and third points... yeah okay whatever you say lol

In a word where Crosby says he wants to be moved and everything, you’re paying a lot more than this. Newhook at the very least would have to be added on top of this and very likely more. That retained salary alone is worth close to 2 1sts of value

Yeah it's really hard to say in this hypothetical (unrealistic) scenario. Giroux got the Flyers next to nothing because he'd go to one team. Crosby is obviously much better than Giroux but I do think if he set his sights on Colorado and Colorado alone it wouldn't be a MASSIVE return. Could definitely see Newhook needing to be added though.
