Instead of Lee on the RW I’d either have Wahlstrom or even maybe Beauviller

I think Lee benefits from playing with Barzal but yeah lines could definitely be tinkered. I’m not sure what Forsberg fetches in a sign and trade but if that possibility is there Lou really has to explore it

I’m also not a fan of having Forsberg til he’s 36 that contract will be good for 4 years then will be bad I would go a different route maybe Fiala, Boeser, Garland maybe even Bertuzzi or Debrincat

I agree but everyone benefits from playing with Barzal I was really impressed with the Lee- Nelson- Beau line last season maybe keep that together and try Wahlstrom on the first

I'm pretty sure that discount he's asking for is only to stay in Nashville.

    TO isn't sending a 1st for 1 year of a 35 year old backup.

If that’s the case NSH would be morons not to give it to him. I read the other sticking point is Poile doesn’t want to give Forsberg a NTC. Don’t understand why they are playing hardball for the best forward the team has ever had.

If he hits the open market, a “low 8” figure with NSH (on an 8 year deal) is a “mid 9” on a 7 year deal. I’d go $9.5x7 if it landed him, the 8th year just keeps AAV down. I think Forsberg is looking for about the market value equivalent. Nothing seems that unreasonable from his side
