They can’t fit Dubois. He’s going to cost way more in assets and dollars than Dvorak would

That’s where they have to be careful. Term and dollars to guys. Before you know it we’ll lose Miller or something next year

I want to say Seravalli mentioned this today, but I may be wrong so don't quote me. Drury seems in on Dubois and Kakko would be part of the deal. Dunno if NYR will land him, but they have the assets to make something work.

Anaheim has no interest in Nemeth with a 3.5 million salary in 23/24 on his 2.5 AAV cap hit and two years of term. The whole point is finding guys owed less money than the AAV to hit the floor without actually spending the money. One year term much preferred.

Why would we buy him out. The guy's salary matters, the Ducks are not a big market team with an unlimited budget like the Rangers are.

As to the 2nd and reaching the salary floor there are many options for that around the league. The Ducks are going to choose the option that best fits what they need and that is not Nemeth.

You’re missing the point. They can bury Nemeth. They can afford to. He doesn’t ever even have to sniff the Ducks lineup

You are missing the point. No matter what the Ducks do with him they have to PAY him. They are going to pay a player they want on their roster not a player the Rangers *don't* want on theirs.
