There will for sure be a taker for a defenseman, I promise you that. Making the trades won't be the problem. Getting the value you want is more likely to be the problem. And even then, I don't see ANA running into any problems. I think they have more control over this situation than people think. Buyout Bieksa if you have to and trade a defenseman to a defensive needy team (there are plenty of them).

Also, I'd try to find someone with a little bit more scoring ability than Boyle for that 3rd line. Even if it is a veteran on a 1 yr deal.

Yeah they shouldn't have a problem, this was just more so to show that they aren't in a horrible situation for the expansion draft and that they aren't losing. Silfverberg like some people think.

Boyle is 4th liner centre now. 4m for Bonimo as a third liner might be too rich for Ducks for cap reasons. Vatanen can be traded for some value such as a two players who don't need draft protection....at least.
If Desperes unfortunately continues on LTIR, well that's an 3.7m to spend
