I mean there r a lot of holes here, what happens to tony D and bear cuz they r RFAs and won’t disappear for nothing. I like the bottom pair D, I think it’s gonna be exactly that next year. I wouldn’t be shocked if necas was offer sheeted. He had a down year for the canes and played on the fourth line yet outproduced half the team. He is one year removed from a career year as a 22 year old. I think the canes may have to move him for a big piece and I wouldn’t be surprised if that piece is chychrun because they need somebody to replace tony D and he is a top tier option. Tbh I think they trade necas as a part of a chychrun deal, trade tony for prospects and picks so they have cap for the next few years. I could also see them selling high on Raanta because of kochetkov. I do see them making a splash in free agency and while it is without question Malkin is the best free agent this year he is just older and it is a gamble on him. They could use that cap to resign Nino if they wanted. I will say what they are doing right now is very confusing with having 4 key roster pieces possibly leaving the team next year it is gonna be massive holes to fill.
