Why does Colorado do this? Is Joe still drunk from celebrating?

They want to shed cap and improve the roster... Not take which honestly is just 2 over paid middle 6 players. And a magic bean, that likely wont ever see the light of 10 NHL games

Debrusk is top 6 talent and I doubt Kadri is gonna re-sign. So the Avs really should just get something out of him while they can.

Avs win the right to over pay 2 players.... rather use the cap space to sign a Claude Giroux type to a 1 or 2 year contract...
