Jets have no incentive to accept 3 low quality pieces and a 1st for Dubois. It is unlikely the Jets trade him this summer anyways.

Two of these moves (ARI, DAL) don't seem "necessary" here; that said, I like the filling of this sandwich. I have always liked Batherson, and feel his game would be a great fit to the Rangers. Puljujarvi makes sense to play alongside Chytil and Kakko on a new, strong skating third line. Moving him for Dubois, I honestly don't like. I would simply resign Vatrano at that point, and reunite him with Zibanejad and Kreider, while LaFreniére and Kravtsov are to be centered by Batherson.

My two cents.

Batherson's not a centre, he's been a winger and will almost certainly be a winger his entire career.

As for this trade, I have no idea how to feel. Panarin is great, but his cap hit is a tough pill to swallow. Batherson has one of the best contracts in the league, so I doubt the Sens would wanna part with that for anything.

I agree Jets probably hold him. Rangers and Canadiens are lowballing imo.

Not worth it for 2-year rental. WPG surely wouldn't do that, neither are we.
