Description

Wow, what a difference 24 hours makes.

I put Smith on LTIR as expected.

Skinner and Samorukov are waiver eligible. I'd say both make the team to start the season. Dylan Holloway looks like a good bet to make the team as well.

I have Ullmark for Puljujarvi, which would require Ullmark to waive his NMC. If not they could bring in another similarly priced goaltender and move Puljujarvi for futures.

I kept Barrie for the PP, he's good at it, and while Bouchard could do it, I'd rather he didn't inflate his stats going into an RFA contract year.

ullmark is worth more then JP. everyone knows JP isn't coming back so edmonton isn't holding the cards in a trade with him. would cost atleast a 2nd+JP

Boston can hold on to Ullmark or use the cap space bringing in Puljujarvi elsewhere, and Edmonton signs one of the FA goalies. That deal, IMO, helps both teams with cap, but I could see Edmonton signing Kuemper/Campbell, holding on to JP's rights, and flipping him later (assuming you're right, and he's not coming back, weird career move,)

More likely, Edmonton just signs Kuemper (Saskatoon boy,) and Ullmark and Swayman play for Boston next season, and when Swayman's deal ends next season, Boston finds a team that #1, Ullmark will waive for, #2, has $5m to spend on a goalie, and #3, offers them something/anything. (or moves Swayman, who will get paid.)
