Edmonton moves to compete

Description
I had seen a statement sayign to let kane walk and "moneyball" this ****. And I agree I don't think kane is worth and he is replaceable as seen below

With ottawas new additions I feel conner brown is no longer needed in there top 6 and I belive he would be better off going to a diffrent team to meet hus needs

As cambell is the leading goalie in my eyes for the oilers i feel as Mike Smith should retire his carear now and if that so happens skinner would be more then capable to back up cambell

I had left the BIg Big moves off this team as I feel they would more be a trade deadline type deal. One I have in mind is for barrie to move and if that happens I don't want to just sell him I would be looking for a top deffencman and I belive throwing a top prospect in with barrie could make that happen

Puji is gone we need ti except rhat but with his rights the oilers should be able to milk a 2nd out of a team I chose detroit beacsue that to me is the most interesting to see how he fits in the "yzer-plan"

As I feel this will be lacking the point heaviness of having your one to punch of kane and mcdavid this will be a strong deep team for the playoffs and I belive wirg soen minor tweaks will put those rings on both McDavid and Drisidels fingers

Pretty good, agree with the general approach.

A couple of notes that may change your roster.

- Skinner is now waiver eligible, and with his stats and salary, you can put him in as the backup in pen.
- Darren Dreger reported that " highly likely that Smith will go on long-term injury reserve for the remainder of his contract, which only has one more year on it at $2.2 million." I'd move him to LTIR.
- I think that Samorukov, who becomes waiver eligible and is really liked by the team, is one of the scratches, and if not him, Niemelainen, who played 20 games and is a fan favorite.
- Ryan McLeod will get more than that, Yamamoto less. Kulak a little more, and I honestly think Puljujarvi will be back at just under the Yamamoto number.

Because they aren't giving up an early 2nd in the deepest draft since 03, so essentially a first for a guy who doesn't fit into their top 6

That won't be the 2nd line though? Why is vrana playing 3rd line over any of those guys you named above.

Not giving up a 2nd in this year's draft unless we get an absolute stud, not another under achiever with issues
