First off WHY do you want PLD? The guy is a sook, he cried his way out of Columbus because Torts hurt his feelings (which i can kind of get but still suck it up), now he is in Winnipeg and TELLS Management he has no intention of signing extension is going to test free agency, so he has no Loyalty, He is a talent and a good hockey player, but he is not a 100 pt per season guy (not yet anyway). Only reason he is WANTED is because he is French. He would crumble under the pressure in Montreal same as Drouin, another player who sooked and quit on his team to get traded and look how well that worked out for us.
I wouldnt trade For PLD, but if a trade was to be made it would have to be more Quality with upside to obtain him. Plus they made a move to get Dach to be their future #2 center.

As for the Allen Deal, thats probably doable.

Petry I dont think gets a first now, and to be honest I prefer move him for young prospects, if it is Dallas, someone like Mavrik Bourque, or Wyatt Johnston, or Buffalo for Olivier Nadeau, and a 2nd rdpick

Why I would want PLD?
Well he's a 6'3" C that can score. And it would improve the team for sure. Am not convinced about Dach being a 2C.
Am not saying that the habs must have him at all cost but if they have the cap room and if they get to see where his head and heart is at before making the trade. (am assuming the team is allowed to talk to the player prior to the trade)

Winnipeg sounds like an awful place. So what if he wants out?

For the Petry deal.
It's a 1st but we give a 2nd so Dallas is basically just dropping down a few spots. But I get what you mean for the prospects. (I just don't know any of them)
