Description

Forget chasing expensive middle 6 UFAs, Gaudreau is gone & time to pivot away from flight risk US players. They pretend to be "professionals", have good/great regular seasons but dissappear in playoffs and really only want to go play for boyhood teams (Erixon, Fox, Gaudreau, Tkachuk). Divesting of US players & picking players that will be dedicated to a team & show up in the playoffs.

The Flames drafted "good Canadian boys" for most of the early 2000's. It went terribly.

It's ok to be upset that Gaudreau left, but when it's all said and done, Calgary likely got the best 8yrs of his career.

Coronato will sign this spring. It's very hard for a young kid to turn down an ELC.
