Description

Clearly Hextall is working the phones to move a dman. The best option for us is to try to move Pettersson. Marino is the most valuable piece we could trade but I’d rather hold on to him unless it’s part of a big deal that’s highly unlikely given Hextall’s cautious nature. Dumo probably stays because of his chemistry with Letang. Matheson has a NTC and his skating is a positive asset for a team that’s not getting younger. Ruhwedel had value but moving him doesn’t clear much cap space.

It’s a good idea and I like you sweetend it on our side but I don’t think they would get toffoli back in this More of A trade like (using same assets you used)

- calgary doesn’t need a LD
- calgary is not trading one of only two right shot forwards in their top 9
- calgary is not trading a forward at all after losing gaudreau
- toffoli is worth more than pettersson and legare+4th don’t move the needle at all

I don’t see them trading for a LD. They might trade for Kapanen as a cheap low risk/high reward right handed forward option.
