No he's still a cap dump to the wings, why do you think they had issues moving him yesterday. It's the first no matter if you retain or not or you can keep the cap. Wings aren't interested

I don't think the Flyers even approached trading JVR with retention yesterday since the only reason to have traded him yesterday would have been to sign Gaudreau. Trading JVR now with retention is a much more relaxed proposition for the Flyers now.
