Description

Rodrigues could excel between two good wings; he's a placeholder until Newhook is good and ready to take over there. Nino is to replace Bura's scoring and add some size plus more good two-way play. Mac gets his new deal the following year while Newhook, Meyers and Bo take bridges to tide them over until the cap goes up. It's tight but it works.. They may have to trade Toews to free up space after this season but they can get a lot in return for him and Bo can absorb his minutes.

It's definitely possible given his career year but a lot of guys had career years with scoring being up league-wide. I still think, even at that price, he could be a fit with the Avs if they don't re-sign Kadri. Obviously, they wouldn't be able to get Nino as well but he would be a luxury at this point.

I think you're not far off with E-Rod. Not consistent enough to warrant $3-4m, maybe a 1yr $1.5-$2m prove it contract. I honestly think he'll be an av for sure, plays our style.
