I can’t see Ottawa doing this. Stutzle is gonna be an elite 1C . And will sign for less than Tkachuk. I cant see this move happening

Rookie contracts are so valuable. Very few teams trade an elite rookie, still on his rookie contract, with that kind of team control left.

Thachuk might be the better player right now but their contracts make Stutzle much more valuable.

Look at the cap room u got just by adding Stutzle instead of Tkuchuk.
