Clearing out 1.5 mil shouldn’t be too big of a task. If you think you can get a future top 4 d man for 2 mil is just unrealistic

They have Holl at $2M and Kerfoot at $3.5M. The team accepting one of these contracts would be the price maker though.

They can go 10% over the cap and deal with it. I expect Sandin is looking for money around this amount already anyway. If he was willing to accept what Liljegren got then I assume the deal would have already been done.

Teams would be smart to offersheet Sandin, but it'll take more than $2m for the Leafs to have their hand forced.

You're right, I totally forgot about the 10% over the cap
