We saw in the Fiala trade what a cap for a Miller trade would look like. If Miller gets anything, its less than Fiala because of term.

Miller is also the better player. I don’t think the Canucks settle for less than why Fiala got

Is he? They scored at the same rates, Fiala scored goals at a higher rate, Fiala scored primary assists at a higher rate. The only thing Miller scored at a higher rate were secondary assists, not exactly the territory of the better player. The only thing Miller can lay claim to was having had more opportunity on a bad team where no one outside of his line were seriously contributing.

They are very similar in skill levels but Fiala had much more team control. Miller should fetch less than Fiala.

Miller carried teams offense. 99 points is 99 points. He also played PP, PK, and also played center which is a much more valuable position than winger. He can also play winger if the team needs it but he is super versatile.

As I've shown, the points are irrelevant as Fiala scored at the same rate. You are talking about 1 season of the rest vs 3 seasons of control for Fiala. Term will easily carry the difference.

Lol past 3 seasons Miller is better. Fiala before this season had a career high 54 points. Before this season, Miller had a career high of 72. If you want to go past 3 years, you will prove my point even further on why Miller is the better player

So what's more valuable? 1 season of the guy who had 72 or 3 seasons of the guy who had 54? You aren't making a case here. Term carries the day.
