I don't know whos telling you they're missing the playoffs. Last I looked they still have Marner and Matthews. My guess is they finish 3rd in the Atlantic due to the moves other teams made to get better.

DET and OTT both got way better, yet neither are nearly as good as this team

Correct. I don't know if I use the word nearly. OTT top 6 is pretty good. Wings will be in it all year and most likely just miss. TBL, FLA, TOR, OTT, BOS, DET, BUF and MTL

My guess is top 3 in the division probably 1st or 2nd (I think Tampa will take a step back). Whether or not they go deep in the playoffs it depends. Can the team stay healthy? Will Sandin and Liljegren take a large step forward? Will the goaltending stay health and consistent? Also, they definitively should upgrade that 4th line and maybe the 2nd line left spot depending on how Robertson does.

Tbh their goaltending could easily sink them out of a playoff spot, and if that happens Matthews is gone

Cant be any worse than our goaltending last year which was some of the worst in the league, and we still set a franchise record in points

Tampa & Florida both got worse; Bruins are in trouble. Yeah chasing teams got better but still way off. Leafs finish 1st.

Tampa and Florida easily lock up 1 and 2 even after both take a step back

Our goaltending last year was that already. There’s nowhere to go but up. If there’s anything to worry about my top concern is the penalty kill. We thrived on interrupting passes and taking off with speed- Mikheyev was a huge part of our PK.

Leafs will struggle to hit 100pts (45-27-10). Sabres will finish 4th - 6th. 1st - 7th in the division will be very close. I think the top 6 will hit 90 points. And i think Detroit finishes last
