    Now that I’ve settled down:

Defense looks beautiful. More than stacked. It’s deep and not just deep, very deep. Also, very versatile and has some young pieces of Joseph/Smith to change pace and get that extra bolt of energy/change of pace type thing. I like it. I love it. The defense is great, the trades may have been a bit shaky and not *exactly* what we wanted, but nonetheless, we won’t know until we see these guys on the ice. Maybe Hextall sees something we don’t or wants a different narrative in our D. He’s had a fantastic off season so I wouldn’t put it past him at all to nail these 2 trades. And we aren’t done yet. We’ve got 9 dmen on the roster and some more parts and bits will be moved around in the coming days/weeks forsure. Exciting nonetheless but this will be very interesting to watch. I’m glad he’s not sitting back for yet another off season, he knows we need to win now, and he’s going in. I respect it. Our playoff success speaks for itself, so why not get aggressive.

Pettersson trade has to be coming still. No way we stick Smith in the minors
