No Merkely in the lineup would all but confirm that he’s a bust and at that point trade him for whatever you can get for him. If he can’t beat out Benning, Simek and Nutivarra who has hardly played that would be a big yikes.

I can see MG trading him just because he doesn't compete that hard for the puck being a smaller D-man. Will be interesting to see what he does with all our D on NHL contracts for the coming season, we definitely have to make some moves or throw RM & NK back in AHL since they are both still waivers exempt
