I don't think it's far off - I think Zadina is the type of young reclamation(?) project they would do well giving a ton of ice time with no pressure. Hronek is RD1 on that team and is young enough with affordable enough term that he can either be part of their return to contention, or be moved for a good return down the line.

I think changing Suter to a decent prospect (is Veleno still considered a good prospect?) would potentially be enough. Not sure if the 2 Filips & Veleno would be too big an ask for Detroit, though.

Honestly I don't think this works for either team. Zadina sure, Suter or veleno sure but we would have 5 left handed dmen in the line up and that's just not great. I also really want to see egad Hronek develops into, he shows signs of being a top pairing guy then sometimes he looks like he doesn't belong in the nhl. Hoping a new coach and some better players around him will help him get to that top pairing potential.
