I’ve hated that rule since before Foxy signed with NYR. I hate what Dubois is doing too tbh. I’m shocked there isn’t a tampering charge being filed against Montreal for the Dubois Bs tbh. No way in hell they aren’t trying to game the system.

I totally agree, but it is what it is
Would be nice if they changed the rules so they made more sense

We got screwed a few years ago when Cal Petersen ditched us to go play for LA

Well sure
We’d obviously like to sign Johnson
But the ball is in his court now

Yeah there is a fine line there too. Cause you want an NHL ready goalie but you can’t scare Levi off either. Not a fun position to be in lol.

That being said Buffalo is that market guys love once they get there. If you are good in Buffalo you are a god. And the fans will treat you the right way.

That’s all true
We hear it from player after player after player
They come in with negative feelings about the area,
but then they (almost) all end up totally loving it here

I see a lot of good young players, but very few elite players and if they have elite players, it’s the two #1 picks on the d corps. Do you really think savioe or cozens are a #1 centre on a stanley cup contender? Be really tough to address that via FA so you better hope they are

Yep, when you look at the Sabres, you look at Dahlin and Power. Both could be future Norris winners. So, that ain't bad.

If you're talking about Centers, well, mabye they don't have the elite talent like they had with Eichel, but they have loads of talent. Thompson, Mittelstadt, Cozens, Krebs + Savoie, Ostlund, Kulich..

Thompson has only had one good year, but he is a player the league is sleeping on.

Let's look at 5v5 G/60 leaders:

Matthews 1.94
Forsberg 1.67
Tarasenko 1.6
Pacioretty 1.57 (How do you get him for free?)
Hartman 1.45
Magiapane 1.39
Colton 1.39
Thompson 1.38
Skinner 1.38

I’m confused by the question. Did you look at their farm system and roster? Is this supposed to be rhetorical? Because it’s pretty clear the Sabres are gonna be really ****ing good in two years. Especially once Patrick Kane pulls a Claude Giroux and goes to Buffalo.

Wasn't really asking anything. I just find it amazing that despite their amazing pool, the team still gets trashed so hard.
