- Muzzin has a full NTC
- Kings have no cap space
- Kings would beat that Chychrun trade, most teams would (they was a 1st, NHL player, top-prospect, and another sweetener)
- Kings haven't traded for older (30+) players since their rebuild

From this point on, any transaction affecting the Kings' roster would have to be cap-neutral and roster-neutral -- for example, Sean Walker for Muzzin with 50% retention. Here, Grundstrom's cap hit plus Durzi's anticipated cap hit don't come close to Muzzin's $5.625 million tag, plus we'd have to replace Grundstrom on the roster with someone who'd cost at least an additional ELC.
