Sharks are screwed

Created by: icehawk2006
Team: 2022-23 San Jose Sharks
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 19, 2022
Published: Jul. 19, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Honestly, a bit optimistic in the lineup, but I do believe this is what GMMG wants to get to. If cant move Bonino, Reedy gets dropped. I am not sure anyone trades for Labanc, honestly I am okay with that. He is a decent top 6 option.

Anaheim declines, too many centers already, takes away playing time from the kids who need it, and they cap space is for taking on bad contracts for picks/prospects.

Sorry buddy you’re wrong. Your young centers are going to start on the wing this next year and you have to get to the cap floor to start the season. At this point, all the bad contracts that will move have moved, and they are all LTIR candidate that are going to cap squeezed teams. Bonino isn’t a bad contract considering it is low AAV and is up in a year. The cap space you’ll use to acquire assets will be used at the trade deadline to help contenders acquire a piece via a three way trade. Most teams that are cap squeezed are so because they have already signed the guys they want this season. So they’ll use that guy until they know what they have. Thanks for playing though.

We still have a few RFAs in negotiations that will bring us near the floor, and no one is taking anyone for nothing, decent contract or not. If you need cap space that means you are a buyer, and Anaheim is a seller. So, how much is that cap space worth to you?

If it's nothing, then keep Bonino, we don't want him.
