If it costs $2m to sign Roy then Vegas would do that in a heartbeat before considering moving him for a 2nd. The Pacioretty trade and Weber LTIR gives VGK a little over $7.6m to sign Roy, Hague and Kolesar, which should be more than enough.

My reading comprehension leaves much to be desired. I don't imagine VGK would be able to match $4m.

Roy would be a great fit for the Wild!

Actually, I think this entire scenario is just about perfect. The only thing I would try to do differently is sign Roy to a 3 year deal.
