I know it’s unlikely that DeHaan or Stepan come back to Carolina but they would fit two needs very well.

Cap space available to chase a better F than ZAR if possible.

PHI offers Laughton (feisty 2 way C or LW) but I'm thinking he cost 2023 PHI 3rd and 2024 PHI 2nd and maybe a tad more

Dekeyser would be a decent 3LD on a 1 year cheaper deal. He is more along the Cole mold and takes less penalties

Take the 500k saved on Dekeyser and remove the ZAR money to re-sign Nino, then we really have a squad.
