It's really quite something the lack of established starters in this generation.
It does feel like a drop off, considering the elite class of goalies that recently wrapped up/are on the tail end of their careers: Rinne, Price, Fleury, Crawford, Lundqvist, Miller, etc.

Not only that, it was also how many established good goaltenders there were even if they weren't studs:
Bishop, Vokoun, Crawford, etc etc
Right now so many teams are betting on a young non established/getting established guy (Hart, Sorokin, Demko, etc), or late bloomers (Kuemper, Campbell).
So many teams don't have a franchise goalie. It's quite something.
Good signing. Nashville will like Nino a lot considering the offense he provides and how he goes in the corners and battles in the dirty areas for the puck. Nino can also play on either the 2nd or 3rd line and maybe even the 1st when needed. He does well on the 2nd powerplay as well, so there's not much to dislike about this signing considering its only 2 years at 4 mil AAV.
