Too much $ for Cozens and Asplund. I can see Cozens around 4.5 and Asplund 2.75. And too many years for each for those guys

Why would it be too many years? I'm locking up our core at reasonable prices. The AAV is higher because of the term

Why make the Reinhart mistake again?

Adams wants guys to prove worth. Look what happened to Skinner and Okposso. Both got big $ for long years. And we are hurting because of it. Adams will stick to 3-5 years. If you are worth it he will pay them. But prove it and be consistent.

The Reinhardt thing was due to him and Eichel being so close. He wanted to be here until Eichel didn’t want to and then Sam didn’t want to. Cancers in locker room are gone.

It is also a big year for Thompson. He has mediocre year he is looking at 5-5.5 as well.
Okposso signs 2 yrs 1.75 mil a year if he stays

I actually believe reinhart wanted to stay and told adams he would stay for the rebuild. Maybe I'm making that up but either way I don't think reinhart was a cancer.
Even if he was ready to move on I never heard a bad thing about him

I personally think that Cozens will be the long-term captain and they'll lock him up rather than messing around like they did with Reinhart. Adams seems like he has a good grip on what he is doing so I don't think he will make that mistake.
