Sabres push pick to 2019 to get a 3rd. Gorges is in last year of deal and Washington likely to lose Alzner, Shattenkirk and maybe more in offseason. He can play in 2nd or 3rd pairing and kill penalty minutes.

    Looks good to me except for a few things: To me it would make more sense with a 2017 1st rounder in the Vatanen trade as they'd know what pick they're giving up. Also, i wouldn't buy out Moulson but that's just me.

    Wait, but if they do good then i don't think Anaheim would get enough ... well, i guess next draft should be better though. Unless someone's getting a superstar i don't like the idea of trading picks when you have no idea how good they'll be. I think the trade was pretty good, i just think it would make more sense as a 2017 pick. Other than that, i really like the idea.

    I'd call him a top pairing guy. Maybe without the 2nd then? The thing is, what if Buffalo does really bad next year?

    I think the Vatanen trade works

    I'd try to move #8 overall for another defenseman as well though... if possible

    Idk if the Gorges trade works for the Caps, but we could probably get someone to take him for a late round pick
