I don’t c the point of dumping bailey in this scenario unless you have a replacement lined up. Puljujvari trade proposal is bad for Edmonton. Only deal I could c them making with the isles is Beau for Puljujvari because they r less than a year apart in age.

Idk what the cost to dump Bailey is in this market btw. I used to think he has value but the Bjorkstrand trade means I’m probably wrong. That being said he’s too productive to dump imo.

Of course you don’t dump Bailey without a sure back up plan but for me that’s Milano who’s better defensively, faster and younger, I think Edmonton would definitely move Puljujarvi for about the offer I gave since they are over cap and they prefer Yamo over Puljujarvi.
I also don’t know Baileys value but he does get paid less than his salary so teams like Arizona might take him for less but honestly it might take a 2nd or 3rd to move him if Columbus decided to move Bjorkstrand instead of Nyquist

Puljujvari has better production and pedigree than bellows. I’d prefer to avoid dumping bailey tbh. I don’t want to move the draft picks.

How about Bailey and Wilde to Anaheim for futures lol. I really don’t think he should be a cap dump candidate but this market is crazy.

He’s a liability to this team his contract and his play I would definitely move a pick to get him off this team idk about a 2nd but 100% a 3rd

I don’t think his play was the issue as much as it was Chara and Greene being on defense. I don’t c the isles trading him before he plays 1,000 games anyway.

I’ve watched him since I was 8 so I’m not gonna pretend that doesn’t impact my opinion. But if Colorado won’t move on from Erik Johnson I doubt Lou moves on from Bailey. Guys in the room like Bailey a lot and have known him for years. I think it would rub them the wrong way if he was moved.

And I’ve been watching him for 10 years and I really did like him before but the past few years he looks like he doesn’t even try which sucks because when he does he’s solid which only ever happens in the playoffs he’s still a decent playmaker but that’s actually all he has now which is sad and for 5 million that is bad

I thought he finished well tbh. I think his recent playoff performances and his Covid-19 diagnosis are enough of a reason to give him a break. IK what the analytics community has said about him and Leddy for recent years but both guys have played a big part in the isles success. In Leddy’s case we saw how important he was to the blues. IK what Jfresh says about his analytics, but at some point the fact that Leddy’s actual numbers have been better than his expected numbers for years suggests there might an issue with Jfresh and not Leddy.
Hell in Leddy’s case Dom at the athletic even pointed to his actual goal differential being positive despite his relative numbers.

Bellows is getting over $875 per nor is he worth than that
Romanova nd Dobson will not get the same term as that lends to creating cap issue shaving to sign too many players at the same time. By trading 13 for Romanov tells me he is 4 years minimum. Dobson has to get 3 year bridge because if he gets 4 or more years than he is UFA at expiration and that doesn't fit well right now. I would say $4.75 x 3 for Dobson is right and Romanov $2.5 for 4 or 5
Plus we know after is training skate in FL last night in fully NYI gear that Romanov is signed but as per typical Lou terms not released. NHL rules he cannot be given team apparel as he had on last night unless under contract

I really like this team and the trades. Always nice to be able to accrue cap space come TDL too if Isles are in it. If only Puljujärvi can improve his finishing he'll be a bonafide first line player.
