But he won’t be played much, I think the package I made is small but someone who has open slots on their top lines should take the risk

Donskoi is a cap dump and Detroit has too many players as it is. If we move Zadina it will be part of a package for a stud or for good futures, not for a cap dump, one decent pick and one garbage pick.

I would do it for just the picks. We don't need Donskoi. Oh and btw you overpaid a lot on Zadina's contract.

I agree, how much should he get paid?

Why would anyone give up a stud for Zadina. Very unproven so I understand giving up a good player, mabye like Schwartz, but no team would do that. Not one. I understand that Donskoi is a cap dump so I understand changing that but to me you sound like a biased wings fan.

I literally said "as part of a package", never suggested he was worth a stud himself. It's also irrelevant what he's worth, because we don't NEED to trade him, so unless the trade benefits us, there's no point in moving him.

So should he hurried on the bottom lines in DET?

The reason is that Zadina worked his ass off last season and the Wings would like to give him another chance under their new coach. He very well might be traded at the TDL.

no, he shouldn't, but it's the franchises job to compile the best assets, not make it easy for him. He needs to come into camp and TAKE a spot in the top 6 or at least top 9, but that competition is good for the TEAM. It makes zero sense for Detroit to take less value on a former 6OA pick, just because it's going to be a hard road for him. I still think the sky's the limit for him and I have high hopes, but he needs to prove it.
