I would be all for it, would probably just buy out Hornqvist so he can sign with a different team and compete for another cup. A buyout might also be the only way he accepts a trade.

We’re fine on cap, and Martinez isn’t taking a first to move 🙄

I don't know seems like Vegas really values future considerations.
Also might want to take a look at the Vegas page cause that cap is far from fine

I think it’s a pretty steep price but given the protection it might be a move they’d make. And yeah, y’all ain’t good on the cap boss.

It is called LTIR and Vegas has about 6M in cap. You might want to read capfriendly's explanation why Vegas is fine cap wise but it isn't ideal

They don't have Weber's cap hit on LTIR even though he is placed there. They have about 6.5M to sign Hague, roy and Kolesar.

I’m aware. I actually started a deal with VGK to trade for Roy since he has yet to be signed and will likely eat up about $3m+ AAV alone.

Right, and those guys will probably cost more than that amount combined. So, someone else will need to be moved, maybe one of them.

Likely cost more unless they sign cheaper one year deals to cash in next season. Might be attractive to them to start competitive.

Roy's comparable is not $3M+ he passed on arbitration and is completely under team control so he can't ask for more than the team is willing to give. He is the 4th best center on the team. Engvall is probably his closest comparable and he signed sub 2M.
