Debrincat trade

Ya but had to make my AGM slightly different than the other 45 debrincat to Detroit. Kubalik could be dealt in a different deal unless there is a link between Kubalik and Ottawa that I've missed

I think some of those picks were to dump Murray's contract. Regardless pucks being thrown around like crazy in this one

I feel like if that's what it took for Debrincat he would of already been dealt. It would probably require Bostons 1st plus another piece to get him

My view of these signings are probably the same as yours just looking at it differently. I think it gives the coaches time to bring the kids up when it makes sense instead of pushing them and not giving them the time to develop.

I looked up his ahl numbers and compared to veleno and Berggren he wasn't as good as them. Not saying he's a bust or anything but with Detroit I think it would make more sense to get a pick amd draft someone that will be 4 years younger

I'd throw the sean Monahan trade in here too or really any cap dump(for a year or 2) that gives us a first I'd be happy with

opening night lineup
This roster seems realistic, only nit picking I have is I'd like to see what zadina can do on the 2nd with reliable linemates to start the season. And I'm also unsure how I feel about a high end prospect like Edvinsson so low in the lineup, I feel like if he makes the lineup it would be nice to see him playing with Hronek

I think the bertuzzi trade isn't very close. Although both players were 1st round picks I'm not sure if either still hold the value of a 1st. Especially with some of the guys Detroit have coming up I think they'd rather have the picks and keep the farm strong

Had to come back to this post.... we live in the world where it takes a 1st to move out sean Monahan

Detroit is signing UFAs so that they don't need to rush there prospects into the nhl. Pretty sure Stevie Y has a better track record developing prospects than anyone that Buffalo has had running things in recent memory

There's no way Buffalo is making the playoffs over Detroit, They've done nothing to better their roster. Anderson and Comrie isn't getting Buffalo intothe playoffs
Ottawa passes, They don't need more Center depth.
And on what planet is Timothy Liljegren better than Filip Hronek. Detroit passes big time..</div></div>
I think you overlooked the 1st round pick in the toronto trade. I agree with you for the other 2 trades unless Maybe ottawa ends up being a contender and has an injury near the deadline

Everyone going off of this comment and no one is pointing out that Columbus just had to dump cap space in order to sign Laine. I feel confident in saying Larkin won't be going there.
Also why is it a dream to have Werenski's contract?

Cost
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hammerwise</b></div><div>More than the junk laden offer you have.
Gaudette is a 11th-14th forward who is lge minimum for a reason, Holl is a good 3RD, but expiring UFA Leaf fans cant wait to get rid of, Murray is a 4.6mil subpar goalie coming off 3--4 consecutive poor years that Ottawa paid you to take off their hands, Kerfoot is a nice player, but a UFA. So Kerfoot and Holl really dont add tons to this offer (even though they have value), Murray is pure negative value to WPG and Gaudette offers nothing.
WPG is semi rebuilding and the best 2 pieces on offer are both UFAs. Pionk is a good and productive 2RD, signed reasonably for 3 yrs.
Pionk is probably worth a robertson or knies or hirvonen (maybe even 2 of them), a 1st, and kerfoot and holl (who they can flip at deadline)</div></div>
Feel like if these are the first 2 trade offers being sent both ways it would be best just to hang up the phone and save yourself some time

There are still too many pieces in free agency to trade kerfoot yet, once a few more free agents sign Leafs will be able to find someone who lost out on cemters in free agency to get fair value for him. Maybe somewhere like Calgary

Don't hate the trade for detroit but I feel pretty confident in saying this makes no sense for Toronto. Pretty sure the Kerfoot trade rumors are so that they can make capspace to sign Sandin, trading both in the same trade doesn't help them

Done or more
Not sure if it will happen during the season or before but I think some trades need to happen. With the roster you put in you're looking at Veleno and Berggren potentially moving up into the lineup and with Fabbri injured to start the season when he returns he'll push someone else out of the lineup. Even if you have Erne and Sundqvist as scratches you'll likely still need to make 1 more forward spot to make room for the 3 I named earlier

No Playoff this year
I think Zadina keeps a spot in the lineup over Berggren to start the season. And I think they find a way to get Veleno in the lineup too.
Changes I'd make would be Zadina on the 3rd line amd Berggren start the season in the AHL. Scratch Sundqvist and have Veleno 4th line center with time on pp2. Also don't throw Edvinsson to the wolves right away, I think Maatta opens the season in the top 4

Couple more modes
1, Leafs would easily match that offer sheet, there is already talks about them moving kefoot and holl that will give them more than enough cap space to sign Sandin
2. Hronek is a solid asset, why give him up for almost nothing? I personally think he could get a 2nd with conditions to make it a 1st if you were going to trade him.
3. I actually don't hate Zadina for Puljujarvi not sure about the pick tho.
I'll give this AGM a 3/10
