I want Sonny

Created by: Hullsy09
Team: 2022-23 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 1, 2022
Published: Aug. 1, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I know it probably isn’t happening at this point but I was hoping for Sonny

This team is dangerous. Pretty sure Milano-Zegras-Rakell was anaheims top offensive line at one point. Remember Rakell getting an assist on that famous zegras Michigan-Assist. Our second line would basically be that line with zegras upgraded to Malkin.

Side note: https://twitter.com/taylorhaasepgh/status/1554117672505409537?s=21&t=wM4iZY49J38s5ujXl4hjfw Malkin should be a man on a mission lol

Honestly I'd rather have Kap and POJ than Milano

If that trade does happen though, personally would rather have Erod back with that money. Guy was on pace for 60 points when he was playing top 6. And can fill in at C when one of them inevitably misses time.

Well it’s Kap and POJ for Milano and a 2nd. Not just Milano. Getting rid of POJ allows us to play smith too. Rodrigues and Milano are both good options, idk who I would choose. But Milano is probably the safer option, and if we chose Erod those clueless fans would cry about running back the same forward group lol

True - there is a 2nd. My thinking was they are trying to win now and a 2nd round pick isn't going to be available to do anything in this window. That's why I kind of ignored it.

If POJ can get a solid forward in return I'm not against moving him. I just don't think Milano is really any better than Kap and he's basically getting the same money in this scenario. So in the short term window it looked to me like Kap and POJ for Milano which I see as a loss. They could also put Smith in the AHL for a year too.

But yes lol - there would be those people you described and their heads would explode haha.
