Just what Toronto needs. Another high contract in Jones. Marner makes basically 11 Matthews is 11.5 Tavares is 11, Jones is 9.5, Nylander is 6.9. That is 5 guys making up almost 40% of your cap.

Why is Buffalo sending out their captain with salary retained to a non playoff team? They are better off just keeping him, he's still a solid player and a leader.

So Buffalo is retaining half of Okposo and half Kane. And only getting two 3rds. That way off from the current return to do that.

Getting two 3rds and malgin for a guy that will be leaving at the end of the season only retaining so he is easier to move at deadline

Buffalo also has to hit cap floor and retaining only 2.5 million on kane doesn't get them there
