the 13th overall pick in 2015, Vatrano, and a first on top of that for a 28 yr old defense men who was a -21 last season. seems legit.

Muzzin is easily a top-3 defenseman, and probably a #2. He played on a bad Kings team, and +/- doesn't tell the whole story. His advanced stats are great. Recognize the fact he was a Cup Champ as a #3 defenseman too. Good trade for both teams imo

I actually really like that Kings deal. Muzzin is a quality LHD that can eat minutes (help keep Chara fresh) and he's signed to a reasonable cap hit for another 3 years.

Why are you referring to such a garbage stat?

My thinking behind the Muzzin trade was the Kings get young, affordable, controllable assets while dealing from a position of strength. The Bruins get a second pair dman to play with McAvoy while also dealing from a position of strength. LW depth behind Vetrano is DeBrusk, Heinen, and Gabrielle. On D the Bruins have plenty depth after Carlo and McAvoy in their system including Lauzon, Lindgren, O'Gara, and Grzelcyk.

Muzzin is a #2 defensemen on any team. Im sure if he would be sent out east he would get the recognition he deserves.

I guess my only problem with this is chara needs to be moved out of the top pair. The Bruins will need to cut his minutes to get the most out of him this season
