It'll take more than Samoskevich to get anyone to eat Hornqvist's contract.

Not sure why a swap of comparable minor league goalies is included in the deal.

Floride have no choice to cut salary.
And Hornqvist his the guy to sacrifice.

With Duclair going to the LTIR, they only need to dump 1,27M. It may not necessarily be Hornqvist and if it will be, they could retain 50% to make the dump way cheaper. (They could also try to swap someone like Montour for a guy who fills the same role but for cheaper. Like Soucy)

Or they pay the price to dump hornqvist fully and acquire a dman, but I don't think they have the assets for all that
