What I think will happenboring

Initial Creation Date: Aug. 10, 2022
Published: Aug. 10, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I see the avs signing 2 more cheap guys, def a defensive 7th guy for the inevitable injuries. Then just like every other team you want them to take a chance on Milano. I think Joe realizes his cap crunch and needs Kaut, Bowers, or Matsev to step and and find a job.

bowers is holding out on signing which means it will take more to keep him here, might think he can go somewhere else and play. and Murray made 2 mil last year so idk about that but you might be right so better over than under.

Bowers just wants out so he can have a chance to play in the NHL; Avs aren't going to give him more money to end his holdout. Bednar was not a Ryan Murray fan; besides, they already signed Hunt and they have MacDonald so no need to sign Murray. Milano is "meh"; I'd rather spend that money on Stastny or E-Rod.

Good point with bowers they hold the leverage. Its not that Bednar didn't like Murray; its he was worried with his long injury break if he would have been rusty for the playoffs. He know the system and guys but has that injury problem. Hunt is a 2 way deal so ahl guy. same with Macdonald who didnt play at all during the playoff run. I like E-Rod but Milano is the cheaper option and higher ceiling guy, also younger.

Bednar only played Murray when other guys were injured or taking maintenance days. He is not any better an option than Hunt or MacDonald so it's a waste of cap to bring him back. Milano may be cheaper but his underlyings are awful - he'd need to play with very strong two-way guys to not be a massive liability. E-Rod isn't as good a finisher but he doesn't need to be sheltered; he's easily the better two-way player between the two and would be worth the extra money.
