Not an ideal return for Kerfoot hit the market for a bigger return clearly isn’t there, so an early 3rd + money saved from Pulju for a guy Arizona can flip at the deadline for a much more than what they gave up makes it best value wise for Arizona, but it’s realistically the top value we could get

Sandin would be resigned if he was willing to sign that by now

Why would Edmonton remove a proven roster player for a wildcard prospect?

Sandin doesn't sign that or I'm sure he would be resign already.
Nothing enticing for Arizona to do that, gonna cost more for retention and to take Kerfoot for Toronto.

I think it stands to be more reason that Sandin is looking for ice-time and fit, not money. He was nothing to go on to ask for much more than this. 1.8 AAV max IMO

I am sure he does not want to sit for the season either. He has the same agent as Willy so it is just a waiting game now.

I think your high on the AVV.

Liligren played his way into that lineup, and signed for 1.4 million.

Sandin has a but bigger sample size, but looking at advanced stats, his season did not differ much from that of Liligren.

I beleive the assessment of ice time and role is at the crux of the hold up here (I did find the Giordano signing odd), but an AVV closer to Liligren, even on a 1 year seems fsr more likely.

Correct, 1.8 AAV would be the max

Reported ask for Pulju was somewhere along the lines of a 2nd I believe. A 2nd is there, and Abramov has a tad more value than a 4th rounder atm, so this is basically a 2nd + slight value boost for Edmonton

I question where these rumors came about the ask from Edmonton. Don't understand why a team trying to contend would ask for a second rather than immediate roster help. I even swear Holland made mention that if a move was made it wouldn't be for picks or prospects.

I don't think there's a roster player willing to be traded that has the same abilities as puljujarvi with a similar cap hit, so people just assumed he's worth a second lol

Ya that's kinda what I think too. I think he's worth more but could understand why people value him that way.

me as well, people judge him by his finishing more then his defensive play. The finishing will come eventually.
