Absolutely tragic news today as Ben's Dad Mike announces that Ben has sadly passed away. I loved watching him joyously cheer on his favourite team and fight like an absolute warrior against such unfortunate circumstances. He was and is a true icon and a hero in the hockey world. Such an easy kid to cheer for and a staple of Oilers fandom. Rest easy Ben

Ben united the hockey fans around the world.

It's very sad to see him go at such a young age. He's gone but he'll always be remembered.
