Toronto does not need Hanifin and Nylander would be a horrible fit under Sutter. Also moving Hanifin is likely a big mistake, he was Calgary's best all around defenseman last year

Zadorov belongs on the bottom pairing. Move Zadorov down, Weegar to the left and Tanev and Andersson up.

Same was said about Weegar for year and years
He is a defensive Anchor and gives guys like Zadorov more time in the OZ pushing the play forward
That said the difference in ice tim in your top 4 will be so minimal you could swap Zadorov-Weegard with 2nd pair
3rd pair makes sense if you remove Stone and put in a credible LD

Someone like Joel Edmundston aka Steady Eddy
That would actually be a scary Dcore

MTL in the position we're in would see value in Monahan(1 for 1 deal with CGY pay extra IF RS)
With Suzuki at 1st C and Dvorak at 3rd C under MSL last year with great success
I see MSL doing what he did with Pitlick and Dauphin at 2nd C this year

For that reason Monahan-Dach-Anderson is actually an appealing option.
Provides what Drouin woulda done anyways in faceoff support but also gives MTL more options
Even if we trade Monahan at the TDL if we're not on a cup run if he helps Dach jump to Center faster
Then when he's a UFA guaranteed MTL will be eyeing him for a top 6 role
While other might pursue Monahan i think most would be looking at him for a bottom 6 bulk faceoffs guy(which he's solid at actually)


I mean this actually sounds great come TDL with 3 UFA's to trade then Pitlick shoots right back into a top 6 role to bolster his value for next years TDL.
