They can get much cheaper 4th liner. And I do not understand how FLA get Kaut here? He is probably a player they need to keep when re-signing MacKinnon.
Not to mention that COL can't fit Hörnqvist under the cap. COL have 3.9 available cap.
This trade benefit FLA only.

Colorado can easily just sign one of the remaining UFAs if the want a bottom six forward. That wouldn't cost them Kaut, and whoever they sign would make a lot less than Hornqvist. There is just no incentive at all for them to take on an aging, declining, and expensive player like they are here.

This works as a mid-season trade, or maybe with slight retention right now.

anyway that spot is taken.
buy the way, too retain you write the amount like this 1000000 = 1 M for example. Than it will work. Not like this 1.000.000 that way it doesn't work for some reason.
Well I know the reason, I know a bit of programming

Only way the Avs might take Hornqvist on is if they've shed more cap and it's part of a much bigger deal.

Likely, was more just looking at a non dump way to move him. Horny in a bottom six role at 3m is probably not a bad player to have

Doesn't really fit stylistically but certainly a decent vet. I've explored him as a cap dump a few times but FLA fans opinions have always been that they would rather be in cap hell than move what would be necessary to dump him (in the case of COL taking him on that is).
