I see a lot of posts that are essentially dumping Garland. Now I know nearly 5 mil is a good chunk but he’s still pretty young all things considered. I only watched about 10 Canuck games this year, in each game I thought he was quite good. So did I just watch the wrong games? Is it something else?

Is it the Kerfoot effect? - That’s where you have an excellent player who can play anywhere in the lineup. Puts up good numbers. But is not 6’2” so is automatically devalued by your home fan base and media.

As a Canucks fan I cringe every time I see us trade him just for the sake of trading him. I think he's an awesome second line winger and is one of the hardest working players on the team and unless we're getting a good RHD to play with Hughes in a trade for him I think it would be a huge mistake to move him

Garland was pretty solid last year I don't know why people are undervaluing him so much

Fans just want to see change for the sake of change, they just want to wash the foul stench of the previous regime, that's why they come up with such ludicrous proposals, they don't fully think it through
