I just figured good chance Kane could resign on a 2-3yr deal while you get murphy who will hopefully come off that injury some point this season for 4 years on a retained salary who is still a good top 4 pair dman

For Kane 50% retained and Murphy. If Kane does signs an extension the 2024 2nd turns into a 1st.

BUF won't be ready this year, esp in a much more competitive Atlantic . Kane might as well sign as a UFA and let BUF keep their assets. I think they'll be pretty good the year following this one.

That's a big nope from buffalo. Why would they give up Krebs and the possible #1 for a 33yr winger who is a UFA next year. They would just wait and sign him as a UFA
