God no, Hoffman is useless defensively and his offensive game has completely disappeared now. Plus he has another year of term.

I completely agree , but he could comeback and if he does you have 50-60 points guy. That’s why I find it attractive for the flames

Pretty doubtful, the extra year of term makes him really unattractive. It would be like a reversing the Lucic for Neal deal for the extra year of term. I would not be remotely surprised of Hoffman was perma benched by Sutter for being a defensive liability
