You don’t need an offer sheet if you acquire their rights in a trade.

NYI and WPG seem like the perfect trade partners. A couple of trades off the top of my head are Bailey for Dillon or Beauvillier for Stanley?

NOOOOOO to Phil Kessel. Wahlstrom occupies the 1 RW spot and gives barzal the shooter he needs.

Im not sure Wally has done anything to earn that yet tbh. I think they start the year with a Beauvillier-Barzal-Palmieri line so that Barzal has linemates that can keep up with him.

Do not see the Isles looking at Dillon or Stanley. With Romanov get the 2 LD spot, Salo will be given the opportunity to secure the 3LD spot and looked quite good in his call up last year. The Isles D looks set at this point with:

Pelech-Pulock
Romanov-Dobson
Salo-Mayfield
Aho

Just threw some quick options out there! I'd still be interested in Bailey or Beauvillier as one of them is almost guaranteed to be moved in my opinion.

That very well could be the line, or Nelson on LW if Kadri does come in. If that does happen I would at least want to try Nelson-Barzal-Wahlstrom, those would be the best 2 shooters he ever played with.

Bailey is rumored to be the odd man out. I think at this point they are probably trying to work a 3 way deal where a 3rd team retains on Bailey to make it more attractive for the Jets to have him in their lineup.

I wouldn’t be shocked by a Nelson-Barzal-Lee line either tbh. Nelson and Lee played very well together last year and Barzal and Lee’s analytics were pretty decent too. I don’t even think that line is going to be slow cause Nelson is an underrated skater.

I would not be worried about Nelson's speed with Barzal, just adapting to playing with him and knowing which spots to go to cause you never know where Barzal is going or going to make a pass. With Lee fully healthy leading into the season (he clearly was not last year coming off the ACL injury) you always know he will produce with Barzal as he just goes to the net and creates time and space for him.

Nelson is the best kept secret in the league. The entire fam base has been screaming for years to see them together.
