Seems unnecessary to trade away Dowd, Goalies aren't very difficult to acquire (Signing or Draft) but I wouldn't really ever suggest trading for a backup unless you really feel its necessary. If you want a better backup just sign one in FA

I hear you, but Subban was a highly rated guy a year ago. A change of scenery might do him some good. Kings have ZERO goalie depth and if Quickie goes down again with that groin issue, we are screwed.

I also feel that Dowd is gone after this year anyhow as a UFA. Might as well through some darts at the board.

Anyhow, that is my thinking on this.

Honestly it wouldn't take much. I'd love to get a 2nd for him. Maybe make it bigger and involved more pieces to get Muzzin?
