Veleno is waiver exempt, so he can sent down to GR without passing thru waivers.

He is coming along slowly, but might be better for him to play a year in GR with Sodebloom and Berggren

While I agree, I just see the whole that comes with not having center to take faceoffs when we need a RH center. I know faceoffs are not a crucial or seem not to be as important, Wings just are not good enough to to be messing around. Tampa, Colorado, Carolina and Florida might be able to overcome losing defensive zone faceoffs, Wings are not.

I understand that, I was just curious since you didn’t have him as a scratch or taxi squad. Im not against him being the number 1C on GR with Berg. Soderblom/Hanas, and some other newer prospects will take some time to look the part, and he would help them adjust. He and Berggren also should be able to dictate play frequently.

I just worry that he will become a guy who will feel spurned (granted he hasn’t delivered and last year was given some good looks) and will want to be moved. I think he has a lot of room to grow, and could be a very good NHL player.
