Description

I don't believe this team needs the likes of a Phil Kessel or even P. Kane which would just move certain players down the lineup. Signing one more bottom 6 guy to move out Lewis (or Pelletier if he's not ready for the big leagues) would make much more sense to me.
The defense is solid and I'd hold on to Vali for the time being, especially if one of the starting 6 were to be injured.
The Laughton trade makes sense even if it's at the deadline; improve the bottom 6 rather than the top 6 plus Philly will be a heavy seller this year.

The point of this roster is interchangeable - Pelletier goes back to the AHL for example, erod can play 2nd line minutes and Dube plays with his old linemates.
It's going to be a 4 line team under Sutter; even more so than last year.

Add another late pick or prospect. Philly is selling house at the deadline this year. I dont think they want to keep a 28yr old grinder around just to captain a full rebuild
